This spray is a handy way of applying SPF on the go. It’s an incredibly light weight, really quite refreshing spray that will fit in your jacket pocket or bag. Cooling as it goes on, it leaves a very thin, non-sticky layer of protection on your face and neck. No need to rub it in so perfect to use over the top of make up. Also ideal on sunny holidays if you want to reapply your SPF without touching your face with sandy hands.

What makes it special?

We all know how important SPF but also how dull it can be. Unless it’s easy to apply and you have no excuses to not wear it then there is a good chance that you’ll give it a miss. This mesoprotech(r) facial sun mist gives you absolutely no excuses. It’s easy to apply, feels good on your skin, you don’t need to rub it in and you can even wear it on top of makeup. I will sometimes use this as my only SPF but prefer it for top ups during the day, particularly on holiday when the thought of rubbing sea salt and sand into my face doesn’t fill me with joy.

Key ingredients

Bisabolol is a naturally occurring compound most commonly derived from chamomile. It has good evidence for its anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties, with studies showing it can help reduce redness and irritation. Laboratory data also suggests mild antioxidant and antimicrobial effects, although these are less clearly established in finished skincare formulations. It is widely used in products designed for sensitive, reactive or post-procedure skin due to its calming profile and good tolerability.

Vitamin E not only helps to stabilise Vitamin C and make it more potent, it also works as an anti-oxidant by itself by mopping up the free radicals that cause damage to DNA, collagen and elastin.

Plankton Extract is typically derived from marine microorganisms and contains a mixture of amino acids, minerals and antioxidant compounds. Laboratory and small manufacturer-led studies suggest it may help support hydration, barrier function and protection against environmental stress. However, published independent clinical data in topical skincare is limited, so many of its broader anti-ageing or regenerative claims should be considered emerging rather than fully established. It is generally included in formulations aimed at supporting overall skin vitality and comfort.

Application Instructions

It can be applied as many times as required during sun exposure: morning, afternoon, evening or as needed. Give it a good shake before use. Keep your eyes and mouth closed during application. Spray from a distance of 10-15 cm. Reapply every 2 hours when directly exposed to the sun and especially after drying off with a towel, after swimming or when sweating.
