As mentioned this is a 3-in-1 product and can be used as a cleanser, a mild peel and a slightly stronger peel in the following ways:
1 - Use it as a regular cleanser - small amount onto wet skin, massage gently and rinse off straight away
2 - For more intensive exfoliation - small amount onto dry skin, massage gently and rinse off straight away.
3 - For more exfoliation still - small amount onto dry skin, massage gently, leave for 3-5 minutes before rinsing off.
Dr Levy suggest massaging this cleanser into your face with vigour so that you get more physical exfoliation from the rice powder. I think gentle massage is plenty and allowing the chemical exfoliants to do their work is the best option here.
If this is your first foray into chemical exfoliation then don’t use every day initially. You can build up from 3-4 times a week to daily use after 4 weeks. You may find that you’re able to use it every day but twice a day is a little much. Best to have a simple cleanser that you can use as a first/second cleanse an in the mornings.
For steps 2 or 3 above you’re looking at once or twice a week.
