Our way of saying thank you as you build your skincare routine with The Curatory.

How Curatory Credit works

Why I chose it

I chose this for people who want one rich product to provide moisture and sunscreen in the morning. It’s likely to feel too heavy if your skin is oily or you prefer a lighter finish.

If you’re uncertain, follow your practitioner’s advice on what’s best to use after your treatment.

The ingredients that make this special

A closer look at the ingredients doing the most meaningful work in this formula—and what the evidence can reasonably tell us.

Ceramides

Barrier-supporting lipids that help the skin hold onto water.

Read the clinical context

Ceramides are lipids naturally found in the skin’s outer layer. In well-formulated products, they help reduce water loss and support the skin barrier. They can be particularly useful if your skin is dry, dehydrated, sensitive or barrier-impaired, although the benefit depends on the complete formula.

Lactic Acid

A gently exfoliating AHA that also acts as a hydrator.

Read the clinical context

Lactic Acid isn’t just another alphahydroxy acid (AHA). Although it does also help to gently exfoliate dead skin cells away, it’s also a moisturising ingredient. Depending on the pH and concentration it can improve how well the skin holds onto water and keep the top layers of the skin soft and hydrated.

Lupinus Albus Seed Extract

A plant-derived ingredient used to help support skin firmness and elasticity.

Read the clinical context

Lupinus Albus (white lupin) Seed Extract contains peptides and other bioactive compounds that are thought to support collagen and elastin structure. Laboratory and small manufacturer-led studies suggest it may help improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines. However, independent large-scale clinical trials in topical skincare are limited, so firming and anti-ageing claims should be considered emerging rather than fully established. It is generally included in formulations targeting loss of elasticity and early visible ageing.
