SVR Blur is a lightweight facial sunscreen that combines very high SPF protection with a subtle blurring effect with no tint This product is designed specifically for the face and can be used daily (ideally multiple times), whether you’re heading to work, outdoors, or on holiday. It blends high-performance sun protection with a light, smoothing finish that helps even out the look of skin and mattifies shine. It can be worn alone or under makeup as a primer, giving the appearance of a “real-life filter” without masking your natural skin. The texture is silky, buttery but also mattifying without being drying. Lightly fragranced.

Why it made The Curatory

SVR Blur is not only an exceedingly good, high factor SPF that provides UVA and UVB protection but also gives you absolutely no excuses not to wear it. For anyone who finds that they’ve tried an SPF that is heavy, greasy, stings their eyes then you need to try this.

I’m also a huge fan of the subtle blurring effect. There’s no specific tint to it so suitable for all skin tones but it just has a pore refining effect that makes you look glowy without looking shiny

How to introduce it

Squeeze a generous amount into your hand - I find that a large chickpea size covers your face, neck and ears.

This is unlikely to be moisturising enough if you have very dry skin so I’d moisturise first, let that sink in and then apply this SPF.

As with all SPF the advice is to reapply every two hours - I know that this sounds overwhelming but do try to apply as often as possible particularly if you are outdoors, have been sweating, have been in water or have towelled your face.
