A lightweight, ultra-matte sunscreen designed for people who dislike the feel of traditional SPFs. This gel-based sunscreen dries quickly on the skin, leaving a non-greasy, barely-there finish. It is particularly suitable for oily, combination, or texture-sensitive skin types that tend to avoid sunscreen because of heaviness or stickiness. It provides very high broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection and is formulated to remain effective during sweating, swimming, and outdoor activity, making it suitable for both everyday use and more demanding conditions such as sports or hot climates. Lightly fragranced.

Why it made The Curatory

I have been on the hunt for a relatively reasonably priced SPF that is versatile enough that it’s suitable for almost everyone. Whether you have dark skin and are prone to acne, you’re very pale and have more mature skin or you are somewhere in the middle and have rosacea this is likely to work for you. It doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles (collagen stimulating, acne fighting and pigment suppressing properties) of some of the other products on The Curatory but it does its job exceedingly well and feels great on the skin.

How to introduce it

Squeeze a generous amount into your hand - I find that a large chickpea size covers your face, neck and ears.

This is unlikely to be moisturising enough if you have very dry skin so I’d moisturise first, let that sink in and then apply this SPF.

As with all SPF the advice is to reapply every two hours - I know that this sounds overwhelming but do try to apply as often as possible particularly if you are outdoors, have been sweating, have been in water or have towelled your face
